Brothers,
What does the Club and our Colors mean to you?
You wear our
colors to show others that you are an American Military Veteran. You
wear our colors in honor of all veterans who are currently or have
served this great Country in the past. You wear our colors in
remembrance and in honor of those who may have paid the ultimate
price, who gave their lives and shed their blood on battle fields
throughout the world in defense of this Country. You wear our colors
because of your military service and the oath you took to defend
this Country from all enemies both foreign and domestic. And because
you served this Country with Honor, Loyalty and Respect - you now
stand beside Brothers that truly understand what these words mean.
Do not disrespect these honorable soldiers and do not disrespect our
colors.
When you wear our colors - be proud of what you and your fellow
Brothers have done. These colors are symbols of America and they
stand for freedom and liberty. When you wear our colors it is a
testimony that you have done your part in the preservation of the
values that all free people enjoy. When you wear our colors, how far
will you go to defend them? If someone tries to take them from you
or from a Brother to hang on a clubhouse wall as a dart board - what
will you do? Each day before you wear our colors, remember what our
colors stand for - and be willing to defend their Honor. Is this a 1%
Club? No! But be willing to defend the honor of our colors to the
best of your ability as any 1%er would defend his honor and his
colors.
It is you - the patchholder - that must show the MC community and
the public what we, as an MC and a Brotherhood made of veterans, are
all about. It is by your words, actions and how you conduct yourself
as a respectable patchholder that we earn RESPECT from others. Remember our Club objectives and understand what we are striving to
accomplish according to our Articles and By-Laws. Your position as a patchholder in this club is important and your active participation
in this club is important. This club is about much more than just
attending meetings, the objectives cannot be accomplished by merely
attending meetings! As a patchholder, this club needs everyone’s
active participation in planned events, runs and activities or
whatever work needs to be done for the good of the club- this is
vital for our success and our future. Prospects and Probates are not
the only people here to work and participate - we do not need
laborers - we need Brothers with heart and dedication. Camaraderie
and Brotherhood requires your active participation.
We are all Veterans, we all ride. Show respect to the veterans of
this Country and show your loyalty to our Club and its Brotherhood. Honor the colors on your back and show respect to those who have
earned the right to wear those colors. These colors don’t run. Every
day, be there for your Club and Brothers. Be ready to help a
Brother, a fellow Veteran or a fellow biker in need. Wear your
colors with pride and respect and understand what they mean and what
they represent.
Remember that in unity there is strength. United we stand, divided
we fall |
